COVID-19: Some debatable questions that deserve answers and opinions

Ever since the global pandemic COVID-19 has hit the worldwide population, several questions deserve answers. Though it cannot be commented upon who shall be responsible for all circumstances and the situations, one thing is for sure, The pain is known to only the one who gets it.

It is possible someone someday may try to get to the bottom of the icebergs to find answers. And it is also possible, that they may be buried deep to be never found out.

#1. Has the SARS-CoV2 virus been created in the laboratory? If yes, by whom and for what purpose? Whether the creator knew the mutations it can undergo and the potential harm it can cause?

However, this question has lost its significance today. Its time for the world to seek for treatment rather than hunting for source as a prime concern. But can reaching the source give us an insight into the treatment?

#2. How many individuals and companies capitalized over the fears of people undergoing distress?

#3. How unequipped and unprepared countries, governments, medical institutes are to face a medical threat?

#4. When a small virus that can not even be seen by the naked eye can destroy masses, do we need border protections with nuclear weapons?

#5. Could many lives have been saved if we were well-equipped?

#6. Are the facts and figures accurately recorded?

#7. Why is the world seeking vaccine and there is very little impetus on treatment? Why are all companies trying to develop vaccines while less work being done on medicines? After all, after contracting the virus, the patient will need treatment and no vaccine can treat the disease?

#8. How some businesses are using COVID surge to capitalize? What are the ethical implications of it?

#9. Why is there no price control over life-saving medicines that have been found useful in COVID treatment?

#10. Is the right to Oxygen, not the right of every living being we share the planet Earth with? If yes, why was this need not catered to ahead of time?

#11. (Specially dedicated to the second wave of COVID surge in India) If it is the duty of each citizen to vote, is it not his/her right to get basic medical facilities for free?

#12. Why the vaccine for AIDS not yet been developed and for COVID, they are being approved despite many adverse events?

#13. Is the second COVID wave in India a result of vaccine rollout? Are the vaccinated people not becoming carriers for the vulnerable population?

#14. Is there any data recorded for the casualties resulting from mismanagement like that of the migrant population trying to get back to homes during stringent lockdowns; other incidences relating to Oxygen deficiencies, unavailability of Oxygen, medicines, ICU beds, ventilators, and other basic necessities?

#15. Is there any potential work going on in strategy making of handling the pandemic?

#16. Is there any record of mortalities as a result of lack of access to basic needs for chronic diseases, like getting access to timely chemotherapy, dialysis, etc.?

#17. Are the medicines being used righteously?

#18. What are the measures taken to keep a check on the manufacturing and supply chain of fake medicines like there has been a huge seize of fake Remdesivir injections?
